Surrounded by Christmas trees, crazy snowfall and a whole lot of love, made this wintery afternoon a special one. Dennis and Serena had envisioned a winter wonderland for their engagement session. Partnering with a local Christmas tree farm located in the Hockley Valley, ON, we were about to bring this vision to life. We started the session with cloudy skies hoping the clouds would clear, but instead mother nature had a different idea! Unexpectedly snow started to fall all around us, covering myself and the couple in the cutest little snowflakes.
This session was held late January, and if you know anything about Canada's winter months, then you know January is the coldest here! Dennis and Serena began the session, ankles deep in snow, keeping each other warm with hugs and cuddles. We then found a little nook in the trees that blocked the wind and kept us all a little warmer. The cuddling transitions into hugs, then kisses, capturing intimate, natural, close up shots, showing all the details, including those cute little snowflakes all over their hair, clothes and faces. From there we changed direction. After ensuring we captured all the close ups showing Serena's beautiful curls, it was time to play!
At this point we were freezing our butts off, so after a well needed heat break in our cars we got back out and did a marathon of a shooting. Following the couples lead, we played around in that ankle deep snow. Running, jumping and even twirling around, with lots of laughter, we captured some beautiful, natural moments of the couple doing what they do naturally, loving the heck out of each other.
