I always love doing photoshoots with my sister's big family, with baby number 4 on the way we wanted to capture their family and new pregnancy in a way most natural to them. We decided to go for a hike as a family while the colors were at peak change over. Nicole and Daniel take the boys on hikes regularly and this has become a family activity they all love. The leaves were amazing and the boys were more than excited to run through the trails absorbing all the beauty surrounding them.
After a fun hike we were all exhausted, and a power nap was definitely needed. Pulling the blanket out of our bag we laid it out under the bright Sunday sun. Laying in an open field surrounded by mature trees in their peak of fall colors, it was a perfect Sunday afternoon. Of course the nap wouldn't last long, with one of the boys getting up and running around his sleepy family. Then suddenly there were three, three boys running around all full of energy once again. If only adult batteries recharged as fast lol.
To me this is why I love what I do. It's such a beautiful thing being invited into a family capturing a families essence, not people in poses but just by living life as per usual doing what they love to do, together.
This was a happy day.
